On October 27th in a public meeting held at the Pocahontas County Courthouse, members of the Pocahontas County Commission voted 3-0 to approve the petition for the Snowshoe Resort Community District.
This decision marks a tremendous step forward for the entire Snowshoe Mountain Community and validates the hard work and collaboration of resort and homeowner representatives from across the Mountain. The creation of the District – which will be certified on the December 5th County Commission meeting – sets the stage for our community to begin working together on community issues and on our mountain’s future.
Beginning on December 6th, the Steering Committee will begin to organize the election of seven members for the Board of Directors. Draft guidelines for the election process are being circulated among the Association Presidents for comment and will be posted here within the next few weeks.
